Central Records is a record shop, hi-fi cafe and listening bar at 824 N Central Ave in downtown Phoenix, with a kissa-style sound room and a DJ booth in the back. By day it pours coffee over vinyl; on show nights the room flips to house, techno and beat-scene bookings at close quarters.
It is the most intimate room on this calendar: the space is small, the sound is the point, and the crowd is there to listen. Sets start earlier than the warehouse rooms, so check each listing for cover and age policy before you head down.
