Sunbar is the East Valley's dance-music anchor: a patio bar at street level and a roughly 800-cap club room upstairs at 5th Street and Maple, a block off Mill Ave near the ASU campus. Week in, week out it carries the busiest bass calendar in Tempe, running house, dubstep, hardstyle, trance and drum and bass, and the national touring names that hit the Valley land here more often than almost anywhere else.
It is a proper club rather than a warehouse: real stage, real rig, security at the door, and shows most weekends. If you are new to the scene it is one of the easiest first doors to walk through, and plenty of our crew and residents are on those floors on the nights we are not throwing our own.
